COLOR POEMS
After reading Hailstones and Halibut Bones, by Mary O'Neill, students wrote their own color poem. As Ms. O'Neill did in her poems, students thought about colors in different ways. Their brainstorming about a single color included thoughts, feelings, and abstract nouns, in addition to "things." Students enjoyed writing them, and hope that you enjoy reading them.
