At your school a mystery powder went on your school yard. So our class went to work to find what it was. So we tested some white powders.
So we started analyzing the powder we got. First we tried to look at the powder and find what it might be. But than we got liquids so we started to but the liquids in the powders. The baking soda mix with vinegar and it bubbled. We put corn starch in iodine and it turned black.
So we put iodine in the mystery powder and it turned black. So corn starch is in the mystery. We put vinegar in mystery powder and it bubbled so baking soda is in it too. We looked at the mystery powder it had little crystals so did salt. So salt is in it.
We did the same tests with the mystery powder and we found what was in it. Corn starch, salt and baking soda. I think the powder came from a truck which was going to deliver at the grocery store.
