Julia's Webpage I am glad you are reading my web page! I am in Mrs.Tate's class and I love it. I always have so much fun in there. I have so many good friends. They're there for me whenever I need them. I love to do math. It's so much fun to figure out problems. There's all sorts of mysteries in the problems. My hobbies are playing soccer,running, acting, singing,writing, drawing, and reading. My favorite book would probably be Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Levitt. It's about this girl who met Lord Death while walking in the forest following a doe. She wanted him to spare her life so that she could warn her village that there was going to be plague and almost everyone would die. She made a bargain that if he spared her life for another day, she would have to find true love or else she would die. Either she would die or somebody else would die. She wasn't ready to die, nor was she wanting someone in her village to die, so she was looking for her true love. The book is nominated for the D.C.F. award for 2007-2008 and I can see why! My favorite board game is Scattegories. It's a lot of fun. You have to know a lot of words that begin with one certain letter and you get timed. You may think that it's easy but it isn't because you have to answer the question and the answer has to begin with that letter. You get pressured but it's fun to see what the other players got for an answer. I love to horseback ride. I was supposed to go to horseback riding camp last year but I had broken my wrist and had to stay home. It's actually quite a story! I was at a different camp the prior week when some big guy fell on top of me during the game, Capture the Flag. I tried to support him with one wrist but I couldn't. What a disaster! I did get to go to horseback riding camp this past summer with a very good friend. It was very scary riding on the horses. By accident , I started cantering and slid off the side of the horse. I was almost trampled! During that camp, I learned how to groom a horse and put on the saddle. I took care of a horse named Little Girl and rode a horse named Walter. It was so much fun. Walter shook me and when we were walking, he pulled his head down and started eating grass. He was so strong. I was about to go flying again! My favorite movie is High School Musical and The Devil Wears Prada. I love to dance and sing along with High School Musical . My favorite characters are Vanessa(who's Gabriella) and Zac(who's Troy). Another movie is Legally Blonde . I saw the Broadway show and LOVED it! I got the sound track and I know every song by heart. The characters are perfect for the parts that they got. They have FABULOUS voices! I never get tired of the movie or the songs even though I watch the movie about 100 times in a day. It was so good. The songs that are in them are so exciting. I love to sing along to Hairspray . The songs are more different than any other songs I have listened to in other movies. When watching movies, I love to act out the parts and put subtitles on so that I can sing with them and talk along with them. There is a great game called American Idol. You have to have a PS2 which I don't have but I did play it at a friend's house. It has the real judges, Simon, Laura, and Randy except that they are animated. You get to pick a song and a character and then you have to sing into a microphone that is connected to the TV. Then they judge you. I love to write stories of all sorts, fiction, non-fiction, fairytale and historical fiction. Whatever mood I'm in any day. I get my ideas from movies and stories or things that I see. Then I just add other stories and ideas of my own to the one that I got from somebody else and make it into my own idea. I tried out for a play at school once and got a big part. The play was The Jungle Book. I got a main part even though I was only a 4th grader. I was so proud of myself. When I was trying out, I was so nervous. I am so glad that I had my good friends to help me through. That's one of the main reasons that I got Young Mogli. I love to draw the outfits that I am going to wear and outfits that I make up. I might want to be a fashion designer when I grow up. My moms say that would be a great job for me. I also like to draw scenic views. When I read, I get these pictures in my brain so when I try to remember a story, it comes out as a movie in my head. Later, I remember the picture that I had made instead of the words or title.
