I Am

I am a girl who likes dogs.

I wonder if I will ever get one.

I hear dogs barking in the neighborhood.

I see me getting a dog some day.

I want a dog of my very own.

I am a girl who likes dogs.

I pretend to be a dog.

I feel that I will get one when I am older.

I touch the silky fur of the dogs on my street.

I worry that I will not get one.

I cry when my parents say no to me.
