I Am

I am smart and fun.

I wonder if I could run a mile in ten minutes.

I hear all kinds of sounds: laughing, running and others.

I see everything with a positive attitude.

I want everyone to laugh out loud and have fun.

I am smart and fun.

I pretend, draw and write.

I feel free and open.

I touch happiness, madness and other feelings.

I worry that I will get F’s on tests.

I cry when I see, think or hear about the Twin Towers

   or people who are poor and treated badly.

I am smart and fun.

I understand how my sister feels when I yell at her.    

I say that some day I will get to vote for people’s rights.

I dream about being a famous violinist.

I try to do my best work.

I hope that everyone in the world will be treated the same.

I am smart and fun.
