The
Big House
By
Carolyn Coman
In the book, The Big
House, I learned that it can be hard to live without your parents.
Ivy and Ray are living without their parents because they lost in a court
trial. Ivy and Ray are mad and sad
because they lost their parents and have to live with Marietta, the person who
won the court trial.
One reason it is hard for
Ray without his parents is because he wets the bed. Sometimes he is awake when
he wets the bed and some times he is not.
Marietta
doesn’t let Ray and Ivy watch movies like they did at home.
Ray and Ivy sometimes play board games like Monopoly, but Marietta won’t
let them play. At night, it is
sometimes hard to sleep.
In conclusion, I learned that Ray and Ivy have a hard time without their
parents because things are different with Marietta.
They did their best to live with the person who won the trial.
