AL CAPONE DOES MY SHIRTS

Another In the book, Al Capone Does My Shirts, I learned that moving to a new place is not easy and that you can't just go there and expect everyone to like you.

A boy named Moose moves to Alcatraz because his dad gets a job as a prison guard.  Moose doesn't feel right in Alcatraz and desperately wants to go back to his old home in San Francisco.

An example of this is when he keeps telling his mom that San Francisco is much safer than Alcatraz for his sister, who is a little disturbed in the head.  Also he meets a girl named Piper who is mean to his sister and he gets really mad.

Another example of this is when a boy named Scout asks him if he would like to play baseball every Tuesday and Moose doesn’t know what to say.  Eventually, Scout gets Moose to play with him and Moose starts meeting new people and making some friends.

In conclusion, I learned that no one can just go somewhere and make friends right away.  I think that Moose learned exactly what I did when I moved to Vermont last year.  The good news is that, with time, everything works out well.
