Dear Reader, JJ

    My name is Kayla.  I love sports; my favorite is gymnastics.  I have five people in my family:  my Mom, Papa, little sister Anna who is four, and my twin Madison.  She’s 10, like me! 

    I am in 5^th grade in Mrs. Tate’s class.  My favorite subjects are Art and Library.  I like Art because I love to scrapbook.  I like library because I love to read.  I’m not so good at math; it’s fun, but challenging.

    In my free time, I like to read my book, play with my sisters or take a walk with my mom.  I LOVE animals.  I am crazy about animals!  Some of my favorites are horses, dolphins, turtles, frogs, monkeys, and dogs.  I love lots of others too.

    My favorite colors are green and yellow.  My favorite foods are ice cream and spaghetti.  I LOVE spaghetti.  When I get older, I would like to be either a marine biologist, teacher, or own a horse farm.

    I have lived in Vermont for my whole entire life.  I lived in Milton for 3 or 4 years.  Then I came to live in South Burlington and I have lived here ever since.  I have been going to Orchard school every year since Kindergarten.  I love it here.  I moved just this year to Dorset Farms, another neighborhood in the same town (it is not a farm)!  It’s okay but  I still like my old neighborhood better. 

    I love to read and my favorite author is Ben M. Baglio.  He writes all about animals and I love animals.  My 2 favorite series that he writes are the Animal Ark books and Dolphin Diaries.  They tell all about helping animals and give you lots of information.  My favorite author for picture books is Bill Peet.  I love his books.  I don’t know why, I just love them.
