Battle for the Earth

Part 1

Chapter 1

A Peaceful Beginning

By Duncan

Once upon a time, there was a peaceful kingdom called the Zadorf Kingdom. There were never any threats, fights, or thoughts of violence.

Every day, the people of the town: men, elves, and dwarves went to the town center to worship a mystical triangle. If the people did not worship the triangle, evil would enter their land.

The king loved the people, and the people loved the king. The king was the one who made the triangle by going to the sacred land to wish for something to stop the evil from invading his land. It gave him a vision to bind the birthstones of his two sons, his wife, and his own. He put his sons at the bottom of the triangle, he put his wife’s at the top, and last but not least, he put his birthstone in the middle of the triangle. Ever since then, evil was held at bay…until one day…

Chapter 2

The Shattering

Once, there was a prince and his best friend. They never agreed on anything, but were still friends. Their names were Pawn (the prince) and Koona. One day they got into an argument that would threaten the whole world.

“Hey, Pawn, let’s go up to the tallest tower and see what’s inside. They never told us what was inside,” said Koona.

        “Well …” Pawn mumbled.

“Oh come on!” Yelled Koona impatiently.

        “Oh all right.” Said Pawn.

So the two went to the tower. When they got there, the door was open. Suddenly, Pawn heard a laugh.

“Ha Ha Ha! Do you really think I was going to give up?”

Suddenly Pawn turned around. It was the evil Lord, Suracoat ! Pawn wanted to speak but he couldn’t talk.

“I used Koona’s body to enter the kingdom as a peasant. The first day you met me you wanted to be best friends. Now you will pay the price!”

Suddenly, Suracoat broke the triangle into four pieces and scattered the stones, even Pawn’s stone, the sapphire, and put them in places all over the kingdom. Ever since that day, Suracoat ruled the land.
