Crispin

The book I’m going to write about is called Crispin. In Crispin, his mother dies and he has to get out of town because he is accused of murder. He does not know why he was declared a wolf’s head. I’m going to give examples of how he discovers the truth.

When Crispin's mother died, he never asked her what the writing was on his cross. No one else in town knows how to read except for the people in the manor. He asked Father Quenel to tell him what it said but he never told him before he was murdered.

When Crispin was hiding in the woods, he overheard two men saying that they didn’t believe that Crispin did the crime. He thought about it and figured John Aycliffe, the steward, never liked him. I thought at first the steward, just waned to kill him because he never liked him. Crispin saw the secret meeting and John needed to kill him.

When knights capture Bear, Widow Daverntry tells Crispin that the cross says that he is Lord Furnaval’s son. Crispin never thought of it because he lived such a poor life but with such a royal name.

Crispin has a hard life being chased by people but at the end, he has a peaceful life. Crispin learns that he can never be free but he can follow the rules and be safe. I thought Crispin was one of the best books I’ve ever read.
