Once
Upon
a Marigold

Once Upon
a Marigold,
by Jean Ferris, is about a troll who finds a boy in a bush.
As the boy grows up, he starts to look across the river and watch a
princess. He falls in love with
her. He started sending her
anonymous letters by “p- mail” and he got a job at the castle as a servant.
He
meets her but she doesn’t know that it is him.
He definitely knows who she is. These
are different times when Marigold, the Princess and Christian, the boy, were in
the same room together and Marigold still didn’t know it was the same boy she
was sending letters to.
One
example is when is when Maigold is having her state dinner to meet two of her
choices of men to marry. Marigold has three dogs.
One of the dogs made a little scene.
Christian goes to pick up the dog. Marigold
suddenly realizes that she should pick up the dog. Both Christian and Marigold picked it up together.
They looked at each other and their eyes met.
Christian knew it was Marigold but Marigold was clueless.
The
next example is when Christian goes out to fix the terrace.
Princess Marigold comes to read her book there.
Christian noticed that Marigold was on the terrace.
Marigold was first to say “Hi” to Christian.
They got into having a full conversation.
The
next example I am going to give you is when Christian tells Marigold about what
he heard from her mother (I can’t tell you or it will ruin it).
They are very close to each other. Still
Marigold doesn’t know that Christian is the boy she p- mailed to.
Like the other example I gave you, Christian and Marigold got into having
a full conversation.
Christian
and Marigold got together again. That
is when Christian tells Marigold about his name and everything. I highly
encourage you to read this book. You
will enjoy reading it as much as I did!
The
End!!!!
