What Would Joey Do

        This book is about a boy named Joey Pigza. He has a crazy family. His grandmother lives with him as well as his mother. His dad is divorced from Joey’s mother. I am going to give you examples of why this family is crazy.

        Once, on Thanksgiving, his dad left lots of presents on their porch. Joey’s mom got mad and threw their turkey, an electric knife, pies, flowers, chocolates and plates.

       One day, wile Joey’s dad was passing by on his motorcycle, Joeys mom jumped out and stuck a broom handle in the spokes. His dad flew through the air and was stabbed by a branch on a tree and was sent to the hospital.

        Joey hated that his parents fought and he was always stuck in the middle.  Joey was trying to make a friend with a girl named Olivia.  She was blind. Olivia was always mean to him.  Once, Olivia threw a watch in a microwave that his mom’s boyfriend gave him.

        Joey’s grandmother always talked about dying and Joey always hated when she did.  She said if you make a friend, I’ll stop and that’s why Joey is trying to do… to make Olivia his friend.  So Joey got Olivia to be his friend. Then his grandma died and she left him $350.  He looked in his grandmother’s list of friends and she had two scratched out names. Then he realized his grandmother didn’t want him to end up the way she did…lonely.

        When Joey’s grandma died, Joey invited his dad. His dad was late and his mom was mad.  It turns out That Joes dad went to jail for stealing donuts and Joe’s mom bailed him out.

       Joey’s mom and dad fought over grandma’s body. Joey yelled at them and ran out the door. He went to Olivia’s house because he said he would take her to a Christian rock concert. He brought her there.

       Joey had a dog named Poblo. While Joey was at work, Poblo was stolen. Then Joey found out who stole Poblo. It was his dad. He went to an abandoned shed in a farm where his dad was living. Joey took Poblo home with him.

         As you can see Joey lives with a crazy family.
