A Corner of The Universe

This story is about a girl named Hattie who finds out she has another uncle. He is a slow learner. The middle of the book really points out ways he is different. It tells how he reacts and what he likes to do.  It also shows how he has fun with his life. But the thing is, he’s really like every one else. That’s what Hattie finds out about Adam. He’s just a regular guy.

       Adam is just a regular kid because kids like to go to the carnival and he does too. He likes the rides, hotdogs and french-fries. He’s just like everyone else. That’s what people need to know about him. He’s not a weirdo; he’s a regular kid.

       Adam also likes I Love Lucy. Kids like to watch TV. He does too. He’s just a regular funny kid who likes the show, I Love Lucy. He watches it all the time but other kids probably watch their favorite show all the time too!

       Adam likes the theme song, I Love Lucy. I mean my favorite show is Lizzie McGuire and I sing the theme song, Some Times We MakeIt all the time.

       If I was Adam, I would probably like girls too. He’s 22 years old .I’m not trying to be mean or anything, but he should get a girlfriend before the time limits up.

       People like to have fun. Adam does too. I bet you have something that you really like and you think its fun and you do it often. I do. I like soccer. I have fun and I do it often.

       I think its kind of mean that they put Adam in a special school away from everyone else. I mean that last time he saw Hattie, she was two years old and now she’s twelve.      

       I hope you read the book, A Corner of the Universe. It’s a very good book. Thinking about a person like Adam helps you appreciate life.
