Coraline,
by
Neil Gaiman, is about a girl named Coraline.
She finds a door in her house that leads to a weird world. She gets
trapped in that weird world. She
finds her “other mother” and she has button eyes.
She has to find three souls to get out of the world. I’m going to
tell you the scary things that happened to her.
One
example is when she gets trapped behind the door.
She is not used to that world. She
is afraid that something will jump out at her.
She is very scared.
Another
example is when she meets her “other parents”.
They have button eyes. They try to sew on her eyes.
She is afraid of them and wants to go home.
Another example is when she sees a hand moving all by itself.
It is trying to get a key. It
taps at her window and door. She
gets really freaked out.
Once she found a trap door in the weird world.
She finds her other father down there. He was trying to get her to give
her to her other mother. She
tries to get away.
The last scary moment was when
she found the souls. She found the first soul in their house. When she found
the second soul. It is in the flat below. It is in a sack with 2 people in it.
It felt like a spider web. When she gets it, they talk to her and say,
“Thief, Thief! Get back here.” She tries to find them for the people
behind the mirror.
This book is a very exciting book. As you can see, scary things can happen behind a door. I’d be careful reading this book… You might get trapped too!!!
