Response to Literature

        The book I’m about to write about is called Bunnicula .  The book, Bunnicula, is about Howie, a dog, who wants to be a writer.  Howie makes up both mysterious and suspenseful stories.  The stories are very, very interesting.  In the rest of this Response to Literature, I will be talking about the suspenseful stories he makes up.

        Howie makes up stories about his owner, Pete.  These stories would probably never happen in real life.  Howie writes about Pete making a weird, slimy potion that he makes to destroy the world!  I think this is very, very interesting.  He also writes that Pete’s teddy bear ate some of the potion that Pete made.  He gets to be a huge gigantic teddy bear after he got the potion.

        Howie has a friend and her name is Delilah.  The teddy bear (it’s name is Pudykins if you were wondering) grabbed Delilah from the ground and looked like he was going to eat her.  She was in the dumpsters all day because she was sad.

        Pudykins seemed to like stinky things and that’s why he picked her up.  Howie gets a great idea and gets everyone to throw every body’s shoes in the air because they’re stinky.

        His idea works and Pudykins puts Delilah down and picks up the smelly stinky shoes instead !

        Now you know, from the examples I’ve given, that Howie makes up crazy, mysterious and suspenseful stories.  I think the story is very interesting… I recommend it to you!!!
