Welcome to the New Hampshire Grants! Green Mountain Hero was really fun because it has lots of adventure and history. People who like adventure and/or history should read this book. It combines the present, history, and adventure in one.
An example of adventure is when Amos and Solomon find themselves being attacked by wolves. Also, there is adventure when they are attacked by Indians and when they find an injured woman on the road that was pregnant. It’s historical because it is based on the history of Vermont. It also combines the present because once in a while it talks about the records kept about the Story family.
" Watch out, it’s falling!" were the last words Amos Story said before a tree fell on him. That was a really sad time for Solomon, but it packed more adventure into the book. This book is good for people who like history because it is all about settlers, which is history of coarse. It is good for people who like adventure because it has a lot of adventure in it (see second paragraph).
The adventure parts of the story were the best (in other words, the whole book). So if you like adventure and history, Green Mountain Hero is the book for YOU!
