Civil War Project Assessment

Evaluation:

Your letter will be assessed on the following criteria using a checklist:

Technology Assessment:

Student developed a letter on the specific topic. Using proper keyboarding techniques, student used a word processor to write the first and subsequent drafts. A bibliography was included with the final project.
Student used a spellchecker, grammar checker, and thesaurus. Document was properly formatted.
Student located accurate, appropriate, reliable, and appropriate information using digital encyclopedias, specialized CDs and the Internet, observing proper copyright and fair use guidelines.
Inspiration use - Student illustrated a concept with topic and sub-topics, selecting different shapes and colors to differentiate various levels or processes (e.g. concept map, web, bubble, flow chart). (Inspiration Rubric may be used).
Student identified and justified decisions made (e.g. representing data, formatting, selecting criteria for search, visual organizer). Example: What key words did you make and why? Are there other words that might have worked better?
