 The Original Thirteen Colonies and the Lost Colony of Roanoke

      We have been studying colonial times.  Students have explored the reasons why people left other lands and how they came to settle in certain areas.  We felt it was important to find out more about these areas, specifically the thirteen original colonies because the history of each settlement and developing colony involves incredible stories and happenings.  Please read our retells based on one of our resources, the series, The Colony of.... , in order to learn more about the history of the colonies.
