Niagara Falls National Park

Niagara  Falls

Niagara  Falls  is north of Buffalo and  east  of   Albany, New York . The  falls of  Niagara  Falls are 180 feet high  and  2,600 feet wide. Niagara  Falls are two water falls put together in two countries. The Horseshoe Falls in Canada and the American Falls in America join to make Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls has more water going over it than  any other waterfall in the world. On July 15, 1885 Niagara State Park opened. It was the first state park in the United States.  The animals of Niagara Falls are raccoons, rock bass trout, and many other animals.
Niagara Falls was probably formed 12,000 years ago, after the last great ice sheet melted . Eighty-five percent of the water at Niagara Falls goes over Horseshoe Falls.
Now let's look at the park ranger's  job.  A park ranger has to do a lot of work  to keep the  park in good hands and to show people nature.  Another thing the park ranger does is to take people on  nature walks. A park ranger  also protects and  preserves nature.  Another thing  the park ranger does is tell you the rules of the park. Park rangers risk their lives to fight forest fires.  Park rangers have a big responsibility. Park rangers even show how people used to live.
