Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is in Maine. Acadia National Park was found in 1916. In the spring more than five hundred varieties of wildflowers grow. Acadia is a small park. There are over one hundred and fifty miles of pathways. The animals are :barnacles, common eider which is a bird, crabs, lobsters, gulls, starfish, sea urchins and more. There is a thunder hole. The thunder hole is a part of a cliff that has a hole in it. The wind blows tides to it and it sounds like thunder while it goes back .You also can go really close to it so sometimes you get sprayed. If you ever go there you will see cliffs, ocean and woods. Also these are the plants: Irish moss, rockweed, Rhodora and more. People that were rich came to Maine and lived near Acadia and they helped  preserve the park. They saved it because the land was beautiful and full of nature that people should see. In 1919 Acadia was the first national park on the east side of the Mississippi River. At first the park was named Lafayette National Park because the French helped start it. But in 1943 the English donated two thousand acres so they changed its name to Acadia.
