1. Welcome and Food – Monica Ostby and Nothing But Noodles staff
Nothing But Noodles in the Blue Mall on Dorset Street provided this evening’s food and spoke to their fundraising opportunities for Orchard School. Parents are encouraged to provide feedback to the PTO as to whether this is a fundraiser we would want to pursue.

3. PTO Programs, events, clubs, fundraisers – Monica Ostby, Rick Ebel and Chairs
A brief description of the various PTO sponsored events was provided to inform and encourage parents present.
4. Budget Update – Lisa Hebert
5. Parent Questions
One parent present asked if there was an Orchard Calendar. Many Orchard events appear on the Orchard school website and on the paper calendar that is printed by the Middle School.
6. Parent Volunteer Training – Rick Ebel
Principal Rick Ebel conducted volunteer training necessary for anyone wishing to volunteer with students. Items covered included confidentiality, student management/discipline, personal space, and the need for liability insurance when transporting students in personal vehicles on any field trips.
The next PTO meeting will be on Monday, October 13 in the art room, where information on the upcoming Drama production of The Sound of Music will be discussed. Please attend if you are planning to participate in the production.
