The Maritime Museum is home to the Philadelphia, a replica of the actual gunboat used during the American Revolution.  While at the museum we boarded the Philadelphia.  We learned about the history of the boat, how it sails, and what the conditions on the boat were like for the men who fought on it.


We learned how boats were made during the American Revolution.  We took turns using tools and were able to experience what a difficult process making a boat was.
The blacksmith played an important role during the American Revolution.
