1. Copy and color Types of Faults.
2. Using the Earthquake Image Glossary of earthquake terms at look up the definition of the different faults to include with your groups animations of faults.
Strike-slip (lateral)
Dip-slip (normal, reverse (or thrust)
3. Collect the animation of each fault and place it into a multimedia format with its definition from above and share with the class.
Champlain Thrust Fault
4. After visiting Rock point and observing the Champlain Thrust Fault complete a multimedia presentation.
Include a title page with your groups name and site visited.
Scan your drawings that your group made of the thrust fault and insert it into the multimedia program your group chose to use (PowerPoint or HyperStudio)
Under each drawing type each group members theory on how the older rock, Dunham Dolostone ended up on top of the younger rock Iberville Shale, thus reversing the law of superposition
Add the digital photos your group took of the site and include it with your presentation. Please include captions.
Include
a picture of the Champlain Thrust Fault from the water.
Using the map of the Champlain Thrust Fault System locate the fault (from Canada to New York) and draw it on a map of New England that your group has printed.
