The Chocolate Bar Graph!

J By Chelsea J

I asked the people in my class, “What is your favorite kind of chocolate?”  This  bar graph includes information on dark chocolate, white chocolate, and milk chocolate.  I made a bar graph using this data that I collected.

Dark chocolate had four votes out of the twenty-one kids in my class.  White chocolate had three votes, and milk chocolate had fifteen votes.   More than half of my class voted for milk chocolate.  One more person voted for dark chocolate than white chocolate.  Twelve more kids voted for milk chocolate than white chocolate.  Eleven more kids voted for milk chocolate than dark chocolate.  Milk chocolate was most popular among my classmates.

This bar graph was helpful when I compared the data that I collected.  I was able to find out how many people out of twenty-one kids liked the different kinds of chocolate.  The bar graph made it easy for me to see and think about the data.  If I ever buy chocolate for the class I will buy mostly milk chocolate!
