After reading Flotsam by David Wiesner, second and third grade students learned how to use a digital camera. Then, in groups of four or five, they took pictures of each other, and of one object in the library. These images were moved to a shared folder on the network. The following week, after reading This is the Dream, by Diane Z. Shore & Jessica Alexander, students chose pictures to cut out and add to HyperStudio cards.
