All About Katie

Meet Katie:

Hi! My name is Katie.

     I am 9 years old and going into 4th grade. I go to Chamberlin Elementary School in South Burlington. I have a mom, and a dad, and a grandma that lives with us. She lives with us because my grandpa passed away 5 years ago. So my grandma moved in with us! I have 7 cousins, not including me. My cousins' names are Rachel, Henry, Dakota, Leola, Beverly and Damien. We have another baby coming in September! My cousin Damien is 2 years old and is a foster child. I had a foster sister but she went to a different family 2 years ago. I had a Chihuahua last summer named Sadie and we had to give her back because we figured out that I was allergic to dogs! When I am older, I hope to be a vet. My birthday is in October and this year I will turn 10! Double digits!

     My friends Lindsay and Laura and I have done 4 or 5 movies by ourselves with a camcorder. Whenever we do it, mostly every day, we go in my pool and have a lot of fun! We all have flippers and play a game called h20. If you haven't seen the show h20, it's about three ordinary girls that get trapped in a volcano. When the moon goes over the top of the volcano, they get special powers to heat, freeze, and pick up water. In the morning, Cleo takes a bath and discovers she's a mermaid. Rikki is taking a morning walk on the waterfront and gets a drop of water on her and about 10 seconds later she turns in to a mermaid. Meanwhile Emma is in the ocean for a swim and turns into a mermaid about ten seconds later too. Cleo, Rikki, and Emma meet up at Emma's house and talk about their powers but Rikki can't figure out hers! Will she? Watch the show to find out!

These are the movies we have done:

Small to Tall - 3 girls grow up in an orphanage. When an older, meaner person makes them clean, they try to escape the orphanage. Many years later, they find a better home to live in. Will they be able to live in time before time runs out?

The Monkey Escape - Three girls named Rikki, Emma and Lucy McMuffin are trapped in an orphanage with a mean 15 year old girl named Meghan. Rikki, Emma and Lucy must escape before the big ogre attacks the house, but they have to save Meghan, too. They have to go into the forest to find protection, but the goblins are surrounding the circle so the have to get Meghan on their side so she can create a distraction while they run into the forest road.

The Spiderwick Chronicles (our version) - 3 girls, Mallory Lindsay and Katie Grace move into a house with a book in a treasure chest in a secret study. Meanwhile, their mom brought them into a both fantastical and dangerous world. They meet a cute little brownie named Thimbletack, but they have to restore a lot of honey. Lindsay gets trapped in the forest and Katie has to go save her and they run back before the goblins get them! I mean the book! Can they protect the house before Mulgarath gets to it to destroy that book?

H20 (our version) - Three girls named named Cleo Emma and Rikki go to Mako Island and get special powers and turn into mermaids. 12 hours later! What will they do? Will their secret be blown?

H20 Exposed (our version) - Emma Cleo and Rikki get a text message from Lewis saying that he is in trouble at Mako Island, but it is really from a bodyguard for doctor Denman. The 3 girls swim very fast to Mako to help Lewis, but it is Doctor Denman instead trying to bust their secret. Cleo Emma and Rikki all know that this is because of Zane. Zane was the one that believed in mermaids for a long time but no one would believe him and they all knew that this was because of Zane.
