50 Years Ago ....
By the Songwriters in Mrs.Vachereau’s and Mrs. Gurwicz’s Classes

Fifty years ago there was a farm right here…
The Fayette farmhouse was very near.
They worked from early morning till the end of day
And had lots of fun, or so they say.

They had pigs and apples.
They had horses, too.
The bees made their honey.
What else did they do?

They jumped into the hayloft.
They made cider, too.
Grafted apples to grow.
Built forts in the snow.

When you walk down these halls
Try to recall.
There might have been an apple tree
Standing big and tall.

Fifty years ago there was a farm right here…
The Fayette farmhouse was very near.
They worked from early morning to the end of day
And had lots of fun, or so they say.

Thanks to Mrs. McQuillen, Mrs. Gurwicz, Miss Lord and Mrs. Frostman for your help with interviewing, collecting information and songwriting!!!!
